Two-day training on implementation of CEDAW Convention for representatives of judiciary
On November 23rd, WRC started a two-day expert gathering for representatives of judiciary about the practical implementation of the UN Convention on Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW). CEDAW Convention is the most important international instrument for protection of women’s human rights. Two-day training was organized in cooperation with Centre for Training in Judiciary and State Prosecution, financially supported by European Commission, UN Women, UNDP and Ministry for human and minority rights. In this way, we contribute to implementing recommendations that CEDAW Committee sent to Montenegro, and refer to raising capacities of judiciary and implementing the Convention in practice. Trainers were: Vanja Macanović, Autonomous women center and Maja Raičević, Women’s Rights Center.
