Study visit to Brussels

In April 2017 WRC took part in the study visit to Brussels organized by Kvinna till Kvinna for the purpose of advocating gender equality within supranational institutions. The study visit included two days of intensive training where representatives of WCSOs from Western Balkans region had an opportunity to exchange their experiences and the challenges they face in their respective contexts and where various experts were invited to share their knowledge regarding the intricate work of EEAS, DG NEAR and other EU bodies relevant to Western Balkans accession. The rest of the week involved participating in a number of meetings with the MEPs, and their assistants, who focus on Western Balkans countries as well as the representatives of the EEAS and DG NEAR. The study also involved the joint presentation that the selected representative of WCSOs has given on behalf of Western Balkans in front of the FEMM Committee.
