The network of women’s organizations in the Western Balkans draws the attention of decision-makers to the importance of funding specialized services for women survivors of violence, in regular as well as in times of crisis, because they compensate the missing services in the system of protection and support for women. These organizations adapt much faster than institutions to new circumstances and thus remain available to users, provide an alternative for women who do not want or have not received adequate support in institutions as well as the possibility of anonymous communication.
