Opening of the program In Focus, Film RGB
Women's Rights Center and UnderhillFest have been implementing successfully the program In Focus 4 years in a row. Program deals with topics concerning women's rights. This year, we opened the program with the film #RBG, directed by Julie Cohen and Betsy West.
85-year-old Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been a judge of the Supreme Court in America for quarter of a century, and is a second woman in history of that country on that position. “The Notorious RBG”, as her young fans call her, based on the famous murdered rapper Notorious B.I.G, changed the face of the American judiciary with her advocacy for gender equality, and she’s considered to be the leading voice of the Court’s liberal wing, which is enough to gain the status of a living superhero for the progressive part of American population.
After the film, executive director of Human Rights Action, Tea Gorjanc Prelevic talked with Emilija Durutovic, first women appointed as a judge of the Supremen Court in Montenegro.
